WHAT IS A CLAMBAKE?

CLAMBAKE

A clambake is a combination of delicious seafood, smoked sausage, fresh vegetables and a special blend of seasonings all steamed to perfection in its own cooking pot

If you're looking to experience an authentic clambake, you need to take it to the beach, dig a fire pit, fashioning a grate to hold your pot, a large cooler of ice cold drinks and a gathering of family and friends.

Follow These Easy Steps for Your Clambake

1. Before you start to cook, take out the cheese cloth bags of seafood and place in a bowl for now.

2. Pour in 3 cups of liquid. Place pot on heat source. (recommended 1 cup water and 2 cups beer or wine) When you put the lid back on, don't push the lid all the way down. Turn burner on medium high.

3. As soon as the steam begins to escape, time it fifteen minutes.

4. Take off lid and add the cheese cloth seafood bags. Spread around for even cooking. Place lid back on and wait for steam to begin again.

5. After 7 seven minutes, your pot is ready!

NOTE:

Remove the lid only once to add seafood bags. Taking lid off and on will interrupt the cooking process.

Please use caution when removing the lid and the pot from the heat source. We recommend using tongs to remove the food from the pot.
